Reagan and the Valley
June 20, 2004
During the time of mourning over the loss of one of our nation's most beloved presidents, Valley NewsLine reflected on what President Ronald Reagan did for the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, and the United States. Joining Ron in this endeavour to remember and reflect on his impacts, and effects, were Frank Boggus (owner of Boggus Ford) who served as a Reagan delegate during his campaigns from 1975 through 1984, and also his "co-hort" of sorts, Bob Shepard, who served as a Reagan delegate from 1979-1984.
What type of an impact did President Reagan have on the Rio Grande Valley and Texas, or did he have one? How can we learn from what he did do, and use this learning for the future of the Valley? These were areas touched upon in this edition of "Valley NewsLine."
