Rails to the Rio

On this edition of Valley NewsLine, Glenn Harding, co-author of Rails to the Rio, joined Ron to give some interesting history on the 100th anniversary of the RailRoad coming to the Valley.  Also on the show was Winifred Raymond Wetegrove, the grand-daughter of the founder of Raymondville Edward B. Raymond, discussing the heritage of Raymondville.

The remainder of the show covered the Centennial celebration of the founding of Raymondville in 1904, which was celebrated on Sunday, July 4, at Eddie Stark Park in Raymondville.  Eddie Stark Park is located under the big blue water tower with a smile East of Highway 77 in Raymondville.
