Bee Wary

November 14, 2004

The Rio Grande Valley is now becoming nationally known as the "Land of the Killer Bees," so residents here need to know how to avoid a bee attack and what to do in case one occurs.

Dr. William McKenna of Harlingen's Valley Baptist Medical Center, a nationally recognized expert on Africanized honey bees, joined Ron for this show on how to be wary of bees, what the results are when one is attacked by them, as well as why one is attacked by them.

Check Texas A&M University's web page on Africanized Honey Bees for MUCH more information.
