South Texans Seek Education!

           After Ron gave updates on the economic loss to the Rio Grande Valley from Mexico's non-payment on the water debt, as well as the recent restoration of over $500 million to the Children's Health Insurance (CHIP) program by Governor Rick Perry, Ron interviewed the new President of the University of Texas - Pan American from her convocation on August 22, 2004.  Being the first woman to be President of this college, "Bambi" Cardenas elaborated on her views and plans for the future of this prestigious Valley university.
